hey thanks for the comment on my martini glass

yea your right it is a realtivly simple scene with hdri

but there is no radiosity involved in the render

i only have one area light
(thats wat killed the render speed)

and the program that im using is lightwave 7.0

yea the olive has a really funky shadow because of the single area light and ambient intensity is set to 0

and i already have tried to make a reflection object before with my previose renders and the reflections come out very bad in comparison to and HDRI

yea the ground is an image map with bump map turned on i have been putting it off for months but i think im going to upp the poly ocunt of the table and make it have a displacement map instead so yea esentialy it will be modeled next time

hey, I see you know what you are talking about! To what you said, yes, I use 3dsm 4.2, but I didn't use finalrender. what is it used for?

oh, what is GI? you mentioned that, and am unsure what it is.

yes, I noticed that it looked weird at the base, I'll have to work that out.

Perhaps terragen does not control density, but clarity of the water it does, and perhaps one cannot see clearly in the water like that from that far, even on the clearest of days................................................. but it looks cool nonetheless.

As for other programs, well i dunno what programs could put my abilities to good use, perhaps Vue d'esprit or animatek world builder, but im in the midst of downloading those, and others.
